Job Overview: As the Automotive Shop Foreman, you will oversee the daily operations of the shop, ensuring the highest quality of service and workmanship for our customers. You will supervise a team of technicians, ensure safety and cleanliness standards are maintained, and work closely with management to meet business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, lead, and support a team of automotive technicians in performing maintenance, repair, and modification work on Jeep vehicles.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and is completed in a timely manner.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to technicians on complex repairs and troubleshooting.
- Monitor the shop’s workflow, assign tasks, and ensure the efficient use of resources.
- Perform inspections and oversee diagnostic work to ensure the accuracy of repairs.
- Ensure the shop is compliant with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with service advisors to communicate repair needs and timelines to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of labor and parts used for repairs.
- Manage inventory and ensure necessary tools and parts are stocked and in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with Jeep vehicles and off-road modifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
